About the position

The Procedure Development Representative (Sales) for Lung Health at Medtronic is responsible for driving the growth and utilization of the Medtronic Lung Health portfolio. This role focuses on program development, procedural sales, and expanding the commercialization of innovative lung health solutions. The representative will collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance lung health programs and provide educational support to healthcare professionals, ultimately aiming to improve patient outcomes in lung cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Increase utilization of ILLUMISITE™ procedures in the peripheral lung biopsy market.
  • Expand commercialization efforts of ILLUMISITE™ with Pulmonary & Thoracic Surgery proceduralists.
  • Collaborate with District Manager, Strategic Program Executive, and clinical Education Specialists to develop lung health programs.
  • Provide procedure and educational support to physicians and staff as needed.
  • Execute implementation plans in new accounts, setting expectations with customers.
  • Lead clinical and technical discussions and demonstrations during the sales process.
  • Organize and execute procedural and business review meetings with hospital administration and physicians.
  • Manage territory travel and expense budget effectively.
  • Build a territory business plan identifying and executing on areas of opportunity.
  • Meet and exceed assigned sales quotas and objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Specialist level requires 3 years of relevant experience; Senior Specialist level requires 5 years of relevant experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3 years of documented outside sales success in a competitive environment, preferably with tangible products.
  • Previous medical sales experience with evidence of top sales achievement.
  • Significant procedural experience, preferably in a technical and operating room environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficient with Windows Office Products.
  • Ability to develop and present complex business reviews and presentations.
  • Strong organizational skills.
