About the position
The Scheduler for the Cardiac Services Non-Invasive department at Morristown Medical Center is responsible for scheduling NICVS procedures, obtaining pertinent patient information, and ensuring the completeness of electronic orders. This role requires effective communication with physician practice staff and maintaining a professional demeanor while managing patient documentation.
Responsibilities
- Schedules and obtains all pertinent patient information to schedule NICVS procedures from patients & physician offices.
- Ensures that electronic orders/script are complete and appropriate diagnosis codes are included.
- Follows-up with physician practice staff for proper patient documents, demographics, scripts.
- Maintains a professional attitude and exhibits proper, professional phone etiquette.
- Organized, legible handwriting.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associates degree preferred
- Previous Customer Service experience
- Previous Medical experience preferred
- Previous Epic experience preferred
- Strong computer skills
- 1-2 years Operating Room experience
- BLS required
