About the position
Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Procedure Scheduler for the Cardiac Services Non-Invasive department at Morristown Medical Center. This role involves scheduling NICVS procedures, obtaining patient information, and ensuring the completeness of electronic orders. The position requires a professional demeanor and strong organizational skills, as it involves communication with patients and physician offices.
Responsibilities
- Schedules and obtains all pertinent patient information to schedule NICVS procedures from patients & physician offices.
- Ensures that electronic orders/script are complete and appropriate diagnosis codes are included.
- Follows-up with physician practice staff for proper patient documents, demographics, scripts.
- Maintains a professional attitude and exhibits proper, professional phone etiquette.
- Organized, legible handwriting.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associates degree preferred
- Previous Customer Service experience
- Previous Medical experience preferred
- Previous Epic experience preferred
- Strong computer skills
- 1-2 years Operating Room experience
- BLS required
