About the position

The Process Control Engineer position involves managing supplier quality and ensuring robust process controls for a leading manufacturer in the construction and mining equipment sector. The role focuses on the development and validation of nonmetallic components using Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodologies to meet company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with suppliers and design engineers on nonmetallic components (e.g., injection molding, thermoforming).
  • Ensure robust process controls to prevent defects and manage new part development using Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
  • Oversee supplier processes from design concept to product lifecycle completion.
  • Ensure suppliers maintain quality management systems, training, tooling, and equipment adequacy.
  • Support start-up activities and APQP-related process controls.
  • Monitor supplier adherence to Process Change Notifications (PCNs) and manage project plans.
  • Document all relevant requirements and changes thoroughly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Engineering) required.
  • 1-4 years of experience in the field, or an associate's degree with adequate experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with non-metallic components and processes is preferred.
  • Quality engineering certification is highly desirable.
