About the position

The Process Control Engineer position at Randstad US involves managing supplier quality and ensuring robust process controls for nonmetallic components in the manufacturing sector. This role is critical in overseeing the development and validation processes using Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodologies to meet company standards, particularly in the construction and mining equipment industry.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with suppliers and design engineers on nonmetallic components (e.g., injection molding, thermoforming).
  • Ensure robust process controls to prevent defects and manage new part development using Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
  • Oversee supplier processes from design concept to product lifecycle completion.
  • Ensure suppliers maintain quality management systems, training, tooling, and equipment adequacy.
  • Support start-up activities and APQP-related process controls.
  • Monitor supplier adherence to Process Change Notifications (PCNs) and manage project plans.
  • Document all relevant requirements and changes thoroughly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required in a related field (Engineering).
  • 1-4 years of experience in the field.
  • Deep understanding of APQP activities and quality initiatives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Experience with non-metallic components and processes is preferred.
  • Familiarity with shop operations and quality initiatives.
  • Quality engineering certification is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, analytical, leadership, and project management skills.
