As a Process Control Engineer, you will maintain the control system infrastructure and assist in the design of process control logic while coordinating system implementation. Your role will involve performing analysis of hardware and software used in the production process. You will be responsible for providing design, implementation, and support for existing and new Process Control systems, including Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's), and custom control applications to meet manufacturing needs and production goals. In this position, you will handle system backups, network troubleshooting, and computer hardware maintenance. Effective communication and collaboration with various operational, environmental, maintenance, and engineering levels in a team environment are essential, as is the ability to work independently to accomplish individual goals. You will also be expected to develop and execute migration plans for legacy controls platforms, evaluate processes and equipment operation, and manage process improvement projects. Familiarity with reading and understanding P&ID's, loop sheets, and electrical drawings is crucial.
