About the position

As a Process Control and Automation Engineer at ATI, you will play a crucial role in enhancing and optimizing our manufacturing processes. Your primary responsibilities will include the design, configuration, implementation, support, and integration of process control and automation systems. You will be tasked with developing process control applications while also providing operational support and problem-solving expertise to maintain current production equipment and operations. This position requires a proactive approach to understanding the Bakers North Facility, enabling you to identify and implement efficient methods and processes that enhance effectiveness, efficiency, and reliability through technical innovation. Additionally, you will lead maintenance operations to ensure seamless production flow. In this role, you will analyze and troubleshoot various challenges, recommending continuous improvement strategies and solutions. You will apply advanced engineering principles and process control strategies to enhance the operating efficiency of both new and existing automation systems. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential as you implement process control models, strategies, and other methods to ensure strong outputs, reliability, and efficiencies. You will also provide technical expertise in support of capital projects, process evaluations, and project modifications, ensuring that process documentation is regularly developed and maintained. Furthermore, you will interface with multiple equipment suppliers to gain a comprehensive understanding of their equipment operation and control, which is vital for the success of our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and troubleshoot challenges to appropriately recommend continuous improvement strategies and solutions.
  • Apply advanced engineering principles and process control strategies to improve operating efficiency of new and existing automation systems.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to implement process control models, strategies, and other methods for ensuring strong outputs, reliability and efficiencies.
  • Provide technical expertise in support of capital projects, process evaluation, and project modifications.
  • Assure process documentation is regularly developed and maintained.
  • Interface with multiple equipment suppliers to understand their equipment operation and control.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with exposure to Automation, Programming, and control systems theory.
  • At least 3 years of electrical process control and automation experience.
