About the position

Micron Technology is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Process Development Engineer with expertise in Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD), Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD), Diffusion, Ion Implant, and Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD). This position is part of the NAND Film Deposition Process Development Team, where the engineer will focus on advancing technologies that enhance information processing. The Process Development Engineer will be responsible for monitoring the health of assigned processes to ensure high-quality output. This includes providing proactive redundancy plans to mitigate potential bottlenecks that could impact Fab cycle time or turns. The engineer will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to address tool process challenges and optimize tool output, ensuring that all projects are completed according to the defined scope, schedule, and budget. Additionally, the role requires analyzing data to make critical decisions and drive cost reduction activities, as well as utilizing programming languages such as Python, JMP, Tableau, and Power-BI to implement AI and machine learning principles that enhance engineering efficiency. Responsibilities

  • Monitor the health of assigned processes and ensure high-quality output
  • Provide proactive redundancy plans for potential bottlenecks that could impact Fab cycle time (CT) or turns
  • Successfully complete all necessary safety training and adhere to established safety protocols
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to address tool process challenges and optimize tool output
  • Analyze data to make critical decisions and drive cost reduction activities
  • Oversee projects to ensure all tasks are accomplished according to the defined scope, schedule, and budget
  • Use Python, JMP, Tableau, Power-BI, and other coding languages to implement AI/Machine-learning principles that help decrease engineering time
  • Offer assistance in resolving intricate process challenges and identifying underlying causes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in science or engineering or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated automation skills through previous automation projects requiring coding/machine learning/JMP scripting
  • Strong ability to perform functions of this role with minimal supervision
  • Understanding of semiconductor processes with an emphasis on film deposition and Ion Implant
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively to all audiences
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • Proven time management and organization skills
  • 2+ years of experience in an engineering position (preferred)
