About the position

The Process Development Engineering Scientific Associate will be an integral part of a dynamic team focused on the development, optimization, and characterization of cell culture processes for both ongoing and future projects. This role is pivotal in supporting cell therapy scale-up process development, which includes conducting process optimization activities and characterizing cell products. The associate will contribute to the exploration and establishment of innovative technologies that facilitate the scale-up and optimization of cell therapy processes. In this position, the associate will perform experiments aimed at evaluating novel technologies that support the scale-up and optimization of cell therapy processes. Responsibilities will include the expansion and differentiation of pluripotent stem cells in bioreactors, as well as supporting process optimization efforts. The associate will be responsible for preparing, interpreting, and presenting data generated from laboratory studies, ensuring that all findings are documented accurately. Additionally, the role involves drafting and reviewing study protocols and reports, with a strong emphasis on maintaining data integrity. Collaboration is key in this role, as the associate will work closely with a fully integrated team to ensure project success. A solid understanding of molecular and cell biology techniques is essential, as the associate will apply fundamental scientific and engineering principles to process design, development, and understanding. Responsibilities

  • Perform experiments to evaluate novel technologies to support cell therapy process scale-up and optimization.

  • Draft and review study protocols and reports, ensuring data integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Biological Engineering, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related discipline.
  • 2-4 years of experience in process development in a bio-pharmaceutical setting.
  • Experience working with interdisciplinary and cross-cultural teams.
  • Experience in aseptic processing and cell culture.
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively communicate findings, progress, and problems.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
