About the position

The Process Development Manager - Supply Chain at Pella Corporation is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing internal and external supply chain processes and continuity projects. This position entails leading the Supply Continuity team, which collaborates closely with various departments including Material Planning, Supply Base, and Manufacturing. The primary objective is to drive actions and projects that effectively mitigate supply continuity risks. The manager will strategically define and execute supply chain processes across all applicable commodities and business functions within Pella, ensuring improvements, standardization, and adherence to these processes. In addition to leading the Supply Continuity team, the Process Development Manager will spearhead major supply chain projects and performance improvement initiatives. This includes managing project efforts, serving as a resource for implementing project activities with suppliers, and identifying solutions for complex supplier issues. The role requires a deep understanding of supply chain processes, making the manager a subject matter expert within the organization. The manager will also be responsible for developing metrics and reporting systems to monitor progress and will work closely with Corporate Materials Management and Logistics teams to enhance supply chain activities that interact with these functions. The position demands a collaborative approach, as the manager will partner with Strategic Commodity Managers, Supply Managers, Procurement Analysts, and Procurement Specialists to drive standard processes and efficiency. The role also involves coordinating data analysis, monitoring metrics, and working with commodity teams to improve processes, ensuring that the supply chain operates smoothly and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Supply Continuity team to mitigate immediate and medium-term supply risks.
  • Own the Supply Chain Continuity and Assurance processes for Pella.
  • Identify and implement solutions with suppliers for complex supplier problems.
  • Lead and implement critical supply chain projects.
  • Collaborate with Strategic Commodity Managers, Supply Managers, Procurement Analysts, and Procurement Specialists to drive standard processes and efficiency.
  • Develop metrics and reporting systems to monitor progress in supply chain activities.
  • Work closely with Corporate Materials Management and Logistics teams to improve supply chain interactions.
  • Coordinate data analysis and monitor metrics to enhance processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university.
  • Five years of related experience in Supply Chain, Continuous Improvement, or Project Management.
  • Experience in Supply Management with direct or indirect commodities.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes.
  • Experience in process improvement, continuous improvement, or project management.
  • Familiarity with accountability measures and metrics in supply chain management.
  • Understanding of Supply Chain Risk Management.

Nice-to-haves

  • ISM - CPSM or other supply chain certification is desired but not required.
