About the position

We are seeking a motivated NCG or experienced engineer to join our team and support our corporate metrology lab, with a focus on CDSAXS and 3D tomography dimensional metrology. You will play a key role in metrology support, application development, and lab management to achieve world-class analytical results. As a Process Engineer, you'll work with cutting-edge technology to push boundaries in precision, performance, and engineering. Your expertise will directly impact the next generation of semiconductor innovations and contribute to advanced metrology solutions like 3D tomography and CDSAXS.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily activities in a fast-paced lab environment, ensuring continuity of critical metrology functions.
  • Design and execute experiments, analyze data, and provide recommendations. Lead significant metrology projects.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver metrology solutions that meet business goals.
  • Offer timely metrology applications support to internal teams and customers.
  • Assess and track critical metrology assets using SPC methodologies.
  • Manage vendor communications and escalate issues as needed.
  • Foster effective teamwork, maintaining a customer-focused approach.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Take initiative to find innovative solutions and tackle challenges independently.
  • Compile and analyze test data to guide process development and define process specifications.
  • Support the semiconductor roadmap and next-generation product development.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to process technicians for execution activities.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Physics or related field with 3+ years of experience; or a PhD with no previous professional experience; or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with cleanroom operations and semiconductor equipment, including surface preparation and analytical techniques.
  • Experience with optical or X-ray metrology (e.g., thin films, ellipsometry, CD-SAXS, OCD) is highly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with SEM, FIB, e-beam lithography, and photolithography. FIB-SEM experience is highly preferred.
  • Understanding of SPC and/or DOE methodologies for problem-solving and process optimization.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teams, customers, and partners.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, matrixed environment.
  • Expertise in MATLAB, Python, and similar scientific computing languages.
  • Experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g., JMP).
  • Background in material synthesis and characterization.
  • Experience working in collaborative environments with diverse teams and partners.
