About the position

As a Process Engineer III at Honeywell, you will be part of the Energy & Sustainability Solutions (ESS) business unit, focusing on the development and improvement of manufacturing processes to enhance production efficiency and effectiveness. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, ultimately driving efficiency, reducing costs, and improving product quality.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the manufacturing processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement sustainable changes to capture the improvements.
• Work with cross-functional teams both at the site and across the larger business to resolve production issues and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to minimize defects and waste.
• Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide technical support to both maintenance and production teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial and/or chemical manufacturing.
• Understanding of chemical and metallurgical engineering principles, process design, and equipment.
• Ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
• Experience in managing projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring to ensure timelines and budgets are met.
• Skills in optimizing chemical processes for efficiency, yield, and safety.
• Proficiency in data gathering, analysis, and interpretation to drive process improvements.

Nice-to-haves

• Passionate about driving continuous improvement, seeing an opportunity, and owning the execution of the improvement.
• Experience with milling machines, lathes, and CNC machines.
• Experience with rolling and static presses used to forge metals.
• Certification and experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
• Knowledge of process safety management and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to various audiences.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
