About the position

The Process Engineer for the Assembly at Kohler's Arkansas plant is responsible for administering, formulating, and implementing engineering-oriented activities that provide necessary support for the Arkansas Faucets Operation facilities. This role is crucial in supporting all aspects of the Kohler Safety Management System (KSMS) Tier I, II, III, and IV achievement goals and objectives, ensuring that the resources necessary to complete all levels are available. The Supervisor will ensure that all areas under their management are implementing and sustaining all initiatives of KSMS safety standards, creating the safest working environment for associates at all times. Specific responsibilities include supporting the production facilities for Arkansas Faucet Operations by addressing production constraints and limitations related to bill of materials, deviations, line layout, tooling, and fixturing to ensure efficient and timely product build and delivery. The Process Engineer will also liaise with vendors to ensure that the quality of products received and produced aligns with engineering standards and specifications. Additionally, the role involves supporting all Global Faucet initiatives in areas such as Kaizen, quality, efficiency, cost reductions, delivery, safety, and performance. The engineer will provide specialized support to the areas of Plating and PVD based on current process analysis to improve efficiency, absorption, and reduce scrap value. Furthermore, the Process Engineer will assist in the conception, development, and release of new products and technologies within the Arkansas Faucet Operations, as well as undertake other responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor or Arkansas Faucet Operations Management.

Responsibilities

  • Support the production facilities for Arkansas Faucet Operations in addressing production constraints and limitations.
  • Liaise with vendors to ensure product quality meets engineering standards and specifications.
  • Support Global Faucet initiatives in Kaizen, quality, efficiency, cost reductions, delivery, safety, and performance.
  • Provide specialized support to Plating and PVD areas for efficiency improvement and scrap reduction.
  • Assist in the conception, development, and release of new products and technologies in Arkansas Faucet Operations.
  • Ensure compliance with OH&S acts and regulations and promote workplace safety.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, with experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • 1+ year of work experience in an Engineering Department, including co-op and internship experience.
  • Ability to develop, analyze, and implement corrective actions to improve manufacturing operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with SAP and drafting programs is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across various levels of the organization.
