About the position

As a Process Engineer in Assembly at Kohler's Arkansas Faucets Operation, you will play a crucial role in administering, formulating, and implementing engineering-oriented activities that support the manufacturing processes at our Sheridan plant. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all aspects of the Kohler Production System (KSMS) Tier I, II, III, and IV achievement goals are met, providing the necessary resources to complete all levels of these initiatives. You will be tasked with maintaining the highest safety standards in the workplace, ensuring that all areas under your management operate in the safest possible environment for associates. In this role, you will support the production facilities by addressing constraints and limitations related to the bill of materials, line layout, tooling, and fixturing. Your efforts will be directed towards ensuring efficient and timely product builds and deliveries. You will also liaise with vendors to guarantee that the quality of products received and produced aligns with engineering standards and specifications. Additionally, you will support global initiatives in areas such as Kaizen, quality improvement, efficiency enhancements, cost reductions, and safety performance. Your specialized support will extend to the Plating and PVD areas, where you will analyze current processes to improve efficiency and reduce scrap value. You will also be involved in the conception, development, and release of new products and technologies within the Arkansas Faucet Operations. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration with various teams to achieve operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, formulate, and implement engineering activities for Arkansas Faucets Operation facilities.
  • Support KSMS Tier I, II, III, and IV achievement goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards in all managed areas.
  • Address production constraints related to bill of materials, line layout, tooling, and fixturing.
  • Liaise with vendors to ensure product quality meets engineering standards.
  • Support global initiatives in Kaizen, quality, efficiency, cost reductions, delivery, safety, and performance.
  • Provide specialized support to Plating and PVD areas for efficiency improvement and scrap reduction.
  • Assist in the conception, development, and release of new products and technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 1+ year of work experience in an Engineering Department, including co-op and internship experience.
  • Ability to develop, analyze, and implement corrective actions to improve manufacturing operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs, particularly Excel; experience with SAP and drafting programs is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across various levels of the organization.
