About the position

Domtar is seeking a recent college graduate with a focus in Paper Science and Chemical Engineering for the Entry Level Engineer position. This role offers an opportunity to engage in sophisticated project assignments and growth development within the Pulp and Paper industry. The selected candidate will work closely with executives and management, receiving mentorship and comprehensive orientation to the mill, while contributing to innovative projects and day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a mill trial including writing the trial plan, project coordination, data analysis, documentation of findings, and recapping results to management.
• Lead engineering projects.
• Manage an operating area's crew.
• Serve as a relief shift supervisor.
• Participate in engineering safety project teams.

Requirements

• Must be a recent graduate from an accredited degree program.
• Desired majors include Paper Science Engineering and Chemical Engineering.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Technical writing and presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Relevant internship or co-op experience preferred.
• CAD experience preferred but not required.
