About the position

The Staff Process Engineer will be an integral part of project teams, responsible for creating high-quality designs for a diverse range of projects including power, process, corporate, healthcare, and military facilities. This role involves collaborating with the project team throughout the design and construction phases, ensuring that process plans are adapted to meet budget constraints and client requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform process design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion.
  • Modify and review production drawings for various projects including power plants, process facilities, and healthcare facilities.
  • Design process components based on project needs and requirements set by project managers.
  • Apply knowledge of process engineering/design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures.
  • Research and compile project-related data as required by project managers.
  • Update drawings provided by senior engineers to ensure corrections are made using CAD software.
  • Compile information for client presentations, shop drawing reviews, and contract administration.
  • Conduct field inspections, measurements, or calculations for clients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Chemical or related Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and 3 years of process engineering experience, consulting preferred.
  • Master Degree in Chemical Engineering and 2 years of process engineering experience, consulting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient in standard engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and process simulation software (i.e. Hysys and/or Aspen, HTRI).
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Engineers in Training-EIT Certification Preferred.
