About the position
The Process Engineer Group Lead - Coatings at Raytheon is a hands-on leadership role within the Advanced Products Center (APC) RF Products and Components Process Engineering team. This position is critical for the success of a new factory, focusing on installing and qualifying equipment, executing process improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product manufacturing. The role involves guiding a team of engineers, developing materials and processes, and ensuring effective communication with suppliers and customers to resolve issues and meet operational goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of multi-disciplined engineers in career development and technical execution.
- Establish goals and targets for the team that impact operational results.
- Communicate effectively with equipment and material suppliers and program customers to resolve critical issues.
- Develop and implement materials and processes, including process improvements and equipment selection.
- Conduct analysis and evaluation of materials, equipment, and processes, including qualification and acceptance testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in STEM or equivalent experience with 8+ years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with 6+ years, or an Associate's Degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
Nice-to-haves
- Understanding of basic management approaches such as work scheduling and prioritizing.
- Demonstrated problem solving and process control experience with data-driven approaches like DOE and SPC.
- Experience in process development and qualification.
- Previous leadership or mentoring experience.
- Working knowledge of the IPC-CC-830 standard.
