About the position

Stryker's Global Robotics Customer Care team is seeking to hire a Process Engineer to work on Service Engineering process development in Weston, FL. This role supports the execution of assigned project elements with an emphasis on the repair and upgrade process for the Mako robot and related products. The Process Engineer will focus on the processes and procedures associated with delivering results to our customers, including individualized patient plans. The ideal candidate will be a self-directed initiator who takes ownership of their work and drives progress, change, and outcomes without needing prompting. In this role, the Process Engineer will provide engineering support for new product and process introductions, ensuring that all activities are completed and documented according to Stryker's new product development procedures. They will lead change management for processes and procedures associated with product launches, product integrations, process improvements, and audits. The role also involves pursuing continuous improvement opportunities to enhance patient experience, surgeon satisfaction, and business optimization. Ensuring the quality of processes and products as defined in the appropriate operation and material specifications is crucial. The Process Engineer will conduct equipment analysis, procurement, and management, as well as investigations and experimental testing for service activities. Hands-on work at the manufacturing site to support the implementation of new processes as specified in development is also a key aspect of this position. Training for service team members and ensuring adherence to GMP, GDP, and safety procedures are additional responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support for new product and process introductions, ensuring that all activities are completed and documented per the Stryker new product development procedures.
  • Lead change management for processes and procedures associated with product launches, product integrations, process improvements, and audits.
  • Pursue continuous improvement opportunities to drive improvements to patient experience, surgeon satisfaction, and business optimization.
  • Ensure quality of process and product as defined in the appropriate operation and material specifications.
  • Conduct equipment analysis, procurement, and management.
  • Conduct investigations and experimental testing for service activities.
  • Work in a hands-on manner at the manufacturing site to support the implementation of new processes as specified in development.
  • Provide training for service team members.
  • Ensure adherence to GMP, GDP, and safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 0-2 years of experience

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • Basic knowledge of service and manufacturing processes, materials, products, and process design.
  • Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and have an understanding of geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Experience in an FDA-regulated or regulated industry.
