About the position
The Process Engineer I at Saint-Gobain will focus on implementing and validating manufacturing equipment and processes within the Life Sciences division in Portage, WI. This role involves managing continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing process capability, product validation, and modernizing outdated conditions. The engineer will work closely with functional teams to ensure compliance with specifications and lead the planning and execution of new product introductions (NPI).
Responsibilities
- Specify, design, procure, and implement equipment/process/tooling in compliance with specifications.
- Lead project planning and development phases for new product introductions, including writing and executing protocols and finalizing reports.
- Design and implement new processes and enhancements for existing products using WCM Green Belt Tools.
- Plan and conduct experiments on current production processes to characterize process windows.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 1+ years of manufacturing experience with process or continuous improvement.
- Strong process and manufacturing engineering skills, including process diagnostic capability and a record of process cost savings.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in silicone rubber and thermoplastic materials.
- Experience working within a regulated industry with ISO requirements.
