About the position

The Process Engineer at Howmet Aerospace is responsible for overseeing the metallurgical and materials characteristics related to the investment casting process. This role involves both new development and production castings, focusing on engineering high-yield, low-cost products while meeting customer quality requirements. The position requires collaboration with a Product Engineer and the manufacturing team, emphasizing strong communication skills and a commitment to operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Follows Howmet's Safety Regulations and work Rules Handbook along with all department specific safety requirements.
  • Develops and debugs processes for production and developmental castings.
  • Actively pursues the continuous improvement of existing processes.
  • Supplies technical support to customers and interacts with them regarding technical concerns.
  • Complies with all company attendance policies and guidelines, including regular attendance and some overtime.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Engineering.
  • Ability to provide documentation establishing identity and employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • Access to export-controlled items is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgical or Materials Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Investment casting experience.
  • Coursework or equivalent experience in basic statistical and analytical tools.
  • 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
