As a Process Engineer II at Applied Materials, you will play a crucial role in the development and optimization of processes used in the semiconductor manufacturing industry. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, collecting data, analyzing, and compiling reports on moderately difficult process engineering experiments while adhering to safety guidelines. You will also perform hardware characterization on moderately complex systems and troubleshoot issues by conducting Root Cause Analysis to resolve engineering challenges. Additionally, you will interact with customers to address process engineering issues and work with vendors and suppliers to implement new technologies and analytical instrumentation. In this role, you will demonstrate expanded conceptual knowledge in your discipline and broaden your capabilities.
