About the position

As a Process Engineer II at Linde Engineering North America LLC, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive information throughout the various phases of proposal, engineering, and construction. Your responsibilities will encompass all aspects of Process Engineering, ensuring that the proposal and project teams are well-informed and equipped to meet customer needs. You will conduct thorough reviews of customer inquiries and requests for Process Design information, ensuring that all specifications are met accurately and efficiently. In this role, you will perform process simulations and develop essential documentation such as Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Heat and Material Balances (H&MBs). Additionally, you will be responsible for developing sizing information for various Process Equipment, including compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, distillation columns, separators, and reactors. This information will be compiled into detailed equipment data sheets that will guide the engineering and construction teams. Your innovative thinking will be vital as you develop cost-competitive alternatives and ideas for proposals. You will also assist in formulating the plant control philosophy, defining the requirements for control valves and flow elements. A significant aspect of your role will involve leading the definition and review of the Process Safety aspects of the project, ensuring that all safety protocols are adhered to throughout the engineering process. Responsibilities

  • Provide information throughout the various proposal, engineering, and construction phases to the proposal and project teams regarding all aspects of Process Engineering.
  • Perform a thorough review of customer inquiries and requests for Process Design information.
  • Conduct process simulations and develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Heat and Material Balances (H&MBs).
  • Develop sizing information for Process Equipment such as compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, distillation columns, separators, and reactors, and provide this information in the form of equipment data sheets.
  • Develop innovative ideas and alternatives to be cost competitive with proposals.
  • Assist in developing plant control philosophy and defining requirements on control valves and flow elements.
  • Lead the definition and review of the Process Safety aspects of the project.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Chemical Engineering.
  • Experience in process simulation preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills with Microsoft Office software and Windows.
  • Detail-oriented, creative, and innovative mindset.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
