About the position

As a Process Engineer III at Tetra Tech, you will play a pivotal role in delivering integrated engineering and design solutions across various sectors, including Energy, Petrochemicals, Renewables, Water Treatment, and Life Sciences. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about engineering and are eager to contribute to innovative projects that address some of the world's most pressing challenges. You will collaborate with a diverse team of experts, leveraging advanced analytics and technology to develop sustainable solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients. Your work will involve not only conventional facility solutions but also cutting-edge projects such as Hydrogen Electrolysis, Ammonia Production Facilities, Renewable Natural Gas Processing, and Emissions Reduction Studies. You will be responsible for ensuring that all engineering designs comply with industry standards and regulations while also focusing on efficiency and sustainability. Responsibilities

  • Design and develop engineering solutions for various projects in the Energy, Petrochem, Renewables, Water Treatment, and Life Sciences sectors.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and prepare technical reports to support project development.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget.
  • Perform process simulations and modeling to optimize system performance and efficiency.
  • Review and approve engineering designs and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and interns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering, preferably in the Energy or Petrochemical sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of process design, simulation software, and engineering principles.
  • Experience with project management and the ability to lead engineering projects from conception to completion.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical information.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with renewable energy technologies and sustainable engineering practices.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards in the Energy sector.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
