About the position

The Process Engineer - Mechanical 1 position is a hands-on role focused on maintaining and developing manufacturing operations documentation, tooling, and methods for mil-aero grade thermal management products. The role requires a strong understanding of electrical principles and the ability to analyze and improve production processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop manufacturing operations documentation, tooling, and methods.
  • Provide technical assistance to manufacturing departments and engineering teams.
  • Analyze and develop production processes and time standards to maximize efficiency.
  • Interpret and communicate technical drawings and electrical schematics into manufacturing instructions.
  • Develop new tooling and improve existing equipment/tooling for production.
  • Design lean manufacturing layouts to maximize output and efficiency.
  • Assist with manufacturing readiness for new product releases by providing recommendations.
  • Collect, analyze, and present data for capital equipment purchases and continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical support to internal and external customer teams regarding process improvements.
  • Train and instruct other workers as assigned.
  • Maintain quality and quantity standards of work performed.
  • Keep a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of electronics and electrical principles.
  • Ability to utilize electrical analysis equipment such as oscilloscopes and function generators.
  • Good organizational and communication skills, with a strong work ethic.
  • General knowledge of mechanical assembly and tool design.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with data acquisition and instrumentation control/communication.

Nice-to-haves

  • BS in Electrical Engineering preferred, but experience in the electronics field is considered.
