About the position

The Process Engineer Manager is responsible for overseeing engineering projects within the manufacturing sector, focusing on enhancing processes, reducing costs, and improving product quality. This role requires a strong background in chemical processing and project management, along with leadership skills to manage a diverse team of technical personnel effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
  • Oversee engineering projects from conception to completion, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and equipment to optimize manufacturing operations and ensure equipment reliability.
  • Address and resolve manufacturing issues, including troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and process inefficiencies.

Requirements

  • 10 years of process engineering experience in manufacturing industries.
  • B.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong working knowledge of manufacturing and associated engineering disciplines.
  • Demonstrated strong management and leadership skills to balance multiple competing priorities for a diverse group of skilled technical personnel.
  • Lean manufacturing experience is required.
  • Experience working in an ISO9001 and/or IATF16949 manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of process control systems, error proofing, and design for manufacturability analysis.
  • Strong experience in project management and skills executing scope, budget, Gantt charts, timelines, etc.
  • Ability to define problems by collecting and analyzing data, establish facts, and determining root cause.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects involving cross-functional teams in a complex global matrix organization.
  • Proficient in use of software including MS Project, MS Office, and SAP or similar MRP experience.
