About the position

The position at Fujifilm Dimatix, Inc. involves developing and improving wafer fabrication processes, focusing on minimizing yield loss and maximizing process performance. The role requires providing production support engineering for inkjet print heads during and after their transfer from design to production, while also sustaining products through cost reduction and yield improvement efforts. The position demands collaboration with other engineers and departments to solve technical problems and qualify new tools and processes for volume production.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve wafer fab processes.
• Use and run wafer metrology tools to analyze problems, failures, and other technical issues.
• Employ problem-solving and project management skills to address a variety of technical product problems.
• Communicate effectively to motivate others inside and outside the department to resolve issues and accomplish work.
• Organize and present technical problem-solving strategies clearly to all concerned parties.
• Utilize statistical process control (SPC), design of experiments (DoE), and yield data to resolve identified problems.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, or Physics with a minimum of 12 years relevant experience.
• Experience in process and engineering work in wafer fabrication.
• Related experience in Plating, Wet Etch, and chemical analysis techniques.
• Ability to identify root causes of wafer fab problems.
• Excellent problem identification and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
• Ability to apply mathematical operations for tasks like frequency distribution and analysis of variance.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
