As a Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our safety-first culture, which is driven by a zero defect and zero waste mentality aimed at enriching the lives of pets everywhere. This position is integral to our operations, focusing on the optimization of manufacturing processes and machinery to meet organizational targets. You will collaborate closely with Production and Engineering teams to enhance standards that support high-performing production processes within our facility. In this role, you will be responsible for the re-design of equipment and the implementation of process improvements. Your primary responsibilities will include analyzing loss data to identify and prioritize projects for the factory's continuous improvement plan, leading v-curve analysis, and conducting balanced line flow studies to identify debottlenecking opportunities. You will initiate and lead modifications to processes and equipment that will increase throughput, reduce scrap, improve quality, and eliminate losses. Additionally, you will drive problem-solving initiatives using failure modes & effects analysis (FMEA) and Six Sigma methodologies. You will also participate in the design, commissioning, and startup of new equipment and processes, creating and improving standards that ensure the sustainability of high-performing production processes. Supporting training programs to develop skilled operators and technicians will be a key aspect of your role. Collaboration with technical experts and other factories will be essential to replicate optimal solutions and best practices across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze loss data to identify and prioritize projects for the factory's continuous improvement plan.
  • Lead v-curve analysis and balanced line flow studies to identify debottlenecking projects.
  • Initiate, lead, and modify process/equipment improvements to increase throughput, reduce scrap, improve quality, and eliminate losses.
  • Drive and mobilize resources to conduct problem solving on systems or equipment through FMEA and other Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Participate in the design, commissioning, and startup of new equipment/processes.
  • Create and improve standards that enable sustainability of high-performing production processes.
  • Support training programs that develop high-performing operators and technicians.
  • Collaborate with technical experts and other functions to create and replicate optimal solutions and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or related technical field with 3+ years of project/process management experience in a manufacturing, military, or related environment.
  • OR Associate's degree in a technical field with 5+ years of project/process management experience in a manufacturing, military, or related environment.
