About the position

As a Process Engineer at our Rothschild, WI location, you will play a crucial role in managing projects that meet all technical requirements while ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Reporting directly to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for creating capital proposals that include detailed scope documents, cost estimates, and timelines. Your expertise will be essential in developing a comprehensive scope of work, which involves creating equipment specifications, finalizing purchasing documents, and maintaining detailed timelines throughout the project lifecycle. You will also be tasked with expediting and receiving materials and equipment, as well as overseeing commissioning activities to ensure successful project completion. In this role, you will develop project specifications by performing calculations and preparing essential documentation such as process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation drawings (P&IDs), site and floor plans, elevation drawings, and utilities matrices. Your leadership will be vital in selecting contractors and vendors for the design and specifications of installations. Additionally, you will conduct feasibility studies for new or existing systems and recommend improvements to enhance operational safety for various projects. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Significant broad-based project management experience.
  • Understanding of how to spend engineering dollars and manage internal/external engineering resources.
  • Background in food processing, including sanitary factory/process design.
  • Strong process improvement background with at least 5 years of direct process improvement experience in the food industry.
  • Experience with food equipment manufacturing or similar experience.
