About the position

The Senior Process Engineer will lead multidisciplinary project teams, providing expertise in process engineering related to hydrocarbons and flammable fluids. The role involves project management, technical guidance, and opportunities for mentoring and business development, focusing on areas such as petroleum refining and chemical process design.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and technical expertise in process engineering for hydrocarbons and flammable fluids.
  • Manage projects and coordinate with clients to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Conduct material and energy balances, develop process flow diagrams, and write reports and equipment specifications.
  • Estimate costs and size process equipment as part of project assignments.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to practice development and business development efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, petrochemical, or mechanical engineering.
  • At least 10 years of related experience in process engineering.
  • Experience working at industrial sites as an operating engineer, project engineer, or consultant.
  • Strong knowledge of process safety codes and guidelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a project team environment and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software, especially Excel.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

  • 15+ years of related experience in process engineering.
  • Experience with gated project delivery methods.
  • Familiarity with design programs such as AspenTech or similar.
  • Experience with alternative fuels like hydrogen, biofuels, or ammonia.
  • Willingness to assist with business development efforts.
  • Professional Engineer certification or ability to obtain within one year.
