About the position

Leidos is seeking a Process Engineering Specialist to develop and execute manufacturing processes for electronic and electromechanical products. This role involves collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team to support the production of printed circuit board assemblies, cable assemblies, and electromechanical systems, ensuring quality and timely delivery to customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and execute manufacturing processes and procedures for electronic and electromechanical products.
• Support production of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA's), cable assemblies, and electromechanical assemblies and systems.
• Create machine programs and oversee the execution of manufacturing activities.
• Work closely with the operations team to complete assembly details and prepare for delivery to customers.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to develop processes that validate customer quality requirements.
• Coordinate with production control to meet desired delivery schedules.

Requirements

• BS degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited university.
• At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong leadership skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively.
• Basic computer skills for assembly tasks, including retrieving and updating manufacturing documentation.

Nice-to-haves

• 5 years of manufacturing experience on programs building electronic hardware to government specifications.
• Experience in SMT (Surface Mount Technology) processes and equipment.
• Familiarity with Costpoint Material Planning software and Agile product lifecycle management software.
• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
• Current or prior certification to IPC/WHMA-A-610 & J-STD-001.
