About the position

As a Manufacturing Process Engineer (Swing Shift), you will develop, implement, and maintain processes for the manufacture and fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. You will work closely with design engineering to coordinate the release of new products, estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and recommend tooling and process improvements for new and existing product lines. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency and quality of manufacturing operations. You will report directly to the Manager of Manufacturing Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Set up production infrastructure and design production process flow setups.
  • Manage the New Product Introduction (NPI) process and maintain production documentation, including Work Order (WO) BOM validation and Shop Floor Control System routing.
  • Set up repair and quality error codes, production flow diagrams, work instructions, and pack-out instructions.
  • Manage change orders by documenting and communicating all production floor or customer-driven changes, and coordinating the Engineering Change Notice (ECN) phase-in/cut-in process.
  • Control ECN/ECO documentation and Manufacturing Notice documentation.
  • Update work instructions and provide training to production teams on NPI, ongoing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and ECNs.
  • Provide project status reports to internal core teams and, when applicable, to customers.
  • Calculate task time and workforce requirements to optimize production processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing process development or engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of production systems and manufacturing cost estimation.
  • Experience in managing NPI processes, BOM validation, and production documentation.
  • Proficiency with change order management (ECN/ECO) and production flow diagramming.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing software and Shop Floor Control Systems.
  • Ability to calculate task time and workforce requirements effectively.
