About the position

The Process Engineer at Avient Corporation is responsible for providing technical services to produce high-quality Dyneema® fiber and Dyneema® LP products efficiently while adhering to safety, human relations, and environmental standards. This role involves process support, improvements, and data analysis to enhance production quality and efficiency, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical services for the production of Dyneema® fiber and Dyneema® LP products.
• Analyze process data and troubleshoot production issues with supervisor approval.
• Participate in project teams for facility expansions or improvements.
• Monitor and analyze daily production data to identify trends and recommend solutions.
• Prepare, review, and approve production records and operating procedures.
• Conduct formalized training for operational personnel as necessary.
• Investigate production problems and prepare reports on customer complaints and process deviations.
• Assist in plans to reduce costs by improving efficiencies and controlling budgets.
• Conduct trials for continuous improvement and product validation.

Requirements

• BS/BA in a related technical field or Associate's degree plus 2 years of technical experience, or 4 years of experience in a technical capacity.
• Advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and SAP.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Dyneema processes and product quality requirements.
