About the position

This position provides manufacturing and new product support for the development, design, launch, and sustaining of Military/Aerospace components. It includes day-to-day support at the local manufacturing facility, focusing on evaluating manufacturing processes, proposing improvements, and supporting production operations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate manufacturing processes and propose improvements driving cost reduction.
• Design and develop necessary tooling and fixturing to support production.
• Conceptualize, design, and deliver manufacturing solutions that meet or exceed program requirements.
• Provide technical inputs for incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action.
• Support the launch process of new or reintroduced parts to production.
• Assist with training production operators and documenting processes related to equipment usage.
• Attend program, design review, and group meetings and actively participate in discussions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A four-year Engineering college degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 5-10 years of process or manufacturing engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience in a plant, lab, or manufacturing environment is desirable.
• Required technical knowledge includes product, tooling, and fixture design.
• Working knowledge of material selection including metals and non-metals.
• Technical knowledge of software such as AutoCad.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of software such as Solidworks is desired.
• Understanding of component manufacturing techniques, such as transfer and injection molding, machining, etc.
