About the position

As a Process Engineer at our manufacturing company, you will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality components and systems for the power generation industry, specifically focusing on gas turbines and related technologies. Your primary responsibility will be to serve as the technical focal point with coating suppliers, directing the process development and qualification of coating efforts associated with the fabrication of Industrial Gas Turbine (IGT) hardware. This position requires a deep understanding of various coating processes and the ability to ensure compliance with strict quality and performance standards. You will conduct process reviews at coating suppliers to ensure adherence to established processes for specific components, and perform quality assessments and audits to maintain high standards. Documentation for process approvals will be a key part of your role, as you will create and maintain coating specifications that outline technical, quality, and qualification requirements. Additionally, you will act as the primary technical contact at coating suppliers, aiding in the identification of non-conformance causes and enforcing corrective actions. Effective communication is essential in this role, as you will need to keep management, suppliers, and Integrated Product Team (IPT) members informed of ongoing activities. You will also guide Manufacturing and Design Engineers to ensure that coating selections and requirements are feasible for production. Supporting cost reduction initiatives and identifying new materials and manufacturing processes to improve hardware Life Cycle Cost will also be part of your responsibilities. This position may involve other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the manufacturing process.
