About the position

As a Post Process Engineer at Logan Aluminum, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our manufacturing processes. In this position, you will provide assistance and support for both personnel and processes within the business unit. Your responsibilities will include coordinating various machines, automation, mechanical, electrical, and cost center technology to maximize production efficiency. You will also be tasked with coordinating process control and developing systems to provide accurate quality data, which will be documented for analysis using statistical process control. This role requires you to establish criteria to control input variables and optimize Logan's potential in a dynamic business environment, ensuring that we maintain our leadership in industry quality and cost. You will work closely with associates, vendors, and the Logan Technical and Engineering Staff to ensure that we remain at the forefront of critical areas within our operations. Your ability to monitor process outputs and work as a participative team member will be essential. Independent thinking is necessary due to the level of responsibility associated with the success of the unit's processes. You will need to find solutions to complex problems, often requiring testing that may interfere with production processes. Additionally, you will be responsible for setting standard procedures for machine operation and making decisions that directly affect production quality. Your role will also involve quality ordered thinking and demonstrated training and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an engineering-related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Material Science Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of industrial process development and control.
  • Ability to monitor process outputs and work as a participative team member.
  • Independent thinking and problem-solving skills.
