About the position

We are searching for an experienced Process Engineer to join our team at the Spartanburg plant of Magna Energy Storage Systems USA LLC. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing various manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency and quality in production. You will work closely with different machines, including bending machines, turret punch machines, easy formers, and rotomolding equipment. Your expertise will be crucial in programming, maintaining, and improving these machines to meet production demands and enhance operational performance. As a Process Engineer, you will engage in G0Code programming for bending machines, ensuring fast response times in production. You will also be responsible for adapting, maintaining, creating, and improving programs for turret punch machines, which include punch nibbling operations. Your role will involve direct contact with suppliers to ensure that the machines are functioning optimally and that any issues are resolved promptly. In addition to machine programming, you will utilize CAD/CAM software for prototyping and in-house projects, contributing to the development of innovative solutions. Your responsibilities will extend to the easy former and rotomolding processes, where you will similarly adapt and improve programs to enhance production efficiency. Responsibilities

  • Perform G0Code programming for bending machines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience as an engineer in manufacturing, or 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in automotive manufacturing preferred.
  • Knowledge of tool construction, robots, automation assembly, and welding technology.
