About the position

The Process Engineer is responsible for evaluating and improving existing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure safety. This role involves leading change management initiatives, developing innovative solutions, and coordinating engineering trials to optimize production systems. The engineer will work closely with various departments to implement best practices and statistical methods for operational success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead change management and kaizen initiatives in manufacturing.
  • Develop innovative solutions to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Coordinate engineering trials through production departments.
  • Ensure that procedures are maintained and followed.
  • Communicate project results to management.
  • Assist in capital projects related to process area.
  • Advise and implement corrective actions for manufacturing processes.
  • Work with equipment designers and manufacturing officers to develop cost-effective manufacturing methods.
  • Troubleshoot existing processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Research and purchase new manufacturing technology.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within financial budgets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, metallurgical, or materials engineering or related discipline.
  • 3 to 10 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Knowledgeable in statistical analysis.
  • Strong experience in lean manufacturing principles.
  • Investment casting experience preferred.
