About the position

The Process Engineer at Actalent is responsible for implementing line improvements and maintaining essential documentation such as PFMEA, control plans, and work instructions. This role requires effective communication with production teams and maintenance to ensure efficient operation of production lines. The Process Engineer will also train team members in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), problem-solving techniques, and Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies, while conducting regular audits to uphold these procedures. The position may require on-call availability to address issues outside standard working hours.

Responsibilities

• Implement line improvements and maintain documentation such as PFMEA, control plans, and work instructions.
• Ensure efficient operation of production lines by coordinating with production teams and maintenance.
• Train team members in SOPs, problem solving, and CI techniques, and conduct regular audits to maintain procedures.
• Train supervisors and team members on equipment issues and processes.
• Provide on-call support as needed to resolve issues during non-standard hours.

Requirements

• Experience in process improvement and process engineering.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in PFMEA and control plan documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Ceramics, Mechanical, Industrial, Material Science) preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing.
• Background in automation (ABB/Fanuc robots).
• Six Sigma certification.
• Glass manufacturing experience.
• High initiative with the ability to learn and address problems with minimal direction.
