Recruiting Solutions is seeking a Process Engineer for a privately held family-owned company in the Cowpens, SC area. This is a direct-hire position with competitive pay and benefits. The role is focused on establishing and implementing Best in Class processes for all injection lines, ensuring consistent quality at the most efficient cycle time without interruptions. The Process Engineer will work closely with the quality group to ensure that all processes yield dimensional results that meet or exceed customer requirements. Additionally, the engineer will assist with the start-up of new equipment by developing process parameters and implementing operator training plans. The Process Engineer will monitor and correct issues identified in critical process parameters on the injection machines, vision systems, color feeders, color blenders, and secondary systems, which includes conducting scheduled process and equipment audits. A key responsibility will be to lead advanced process analysis, identifying process improvements that result in cost savings, improved part quality, and enhancement of related KPIs. Mentoring, training, and developing process technicians and injection operators will also be a significant part of the role. The engineer will liaise with outside suppliers, machine manufacturers, and Bericap management, executing sample requests and process-related activities focused on identifying root causes. They will lead new material and color validation and participate in mold and product design/drawing/process reviews when required. The Process Engineer will play a key role in the PFMEA process and will be responsible for developing procedures and best practices for the processing engineering department. Evaluating new and existing equipment will aid in assessing needs for a long-term machinery strategy. Support for process technicians and injection operators will be provided during normal shift hours, overnight hours, and on weekends, including conducting injection molding trials.
