About the position

The Process Engineer is responsible for overseeing product scale-up and commercialization activities, focusing on enhancing product quality, reducing costs, and increasing production capacity. This role plays a crucial part in continuous improvement initiatives, providing leadership and technical support across various functional areas, including R&D and Quality.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance product quality, reduce operating costs, and increase production capacity.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and training to improve operational efficiencies.
• Explore and implement relevant enabling technologies to drive cost savings.
• Support R&D, Quality, and other functional areas with technical expertise.
• Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting to support production.
• Engage in continuous improvement efforts such as lean manufacturing, process improvement, and scaling up production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• 1-3 years of work experience in an industrial engineering setting.
• Experience within a Nutraceutical, Pharmaceutical, or Food Manufacturing setting.
• Excellent root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in creating formulation/process models and solving complex problems.
• Proficient knowledge of safety requirements, including GMP, SOPs, and OSHA regulations.
• Knowledge and understanding of nutritional ingredients, product formulations, and their claims.
• Thorough understanding of manufacturing, regulatory, supply chain, and business implications of formulation decisions.
• Ability to effectively communicate and lead in a cross-functional team environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Project management experience is a strong plus.
