About the position

The Process Engineer at REV Group, Inc. plays a crucial role in planning and designing manufacturing processes for a production facility. This position focuses on maximizing efficiency through the analysis of equipment layout, workflow, assembly methods, and workforce utilization. The engineer will work on projects of limited complexity, assisting in the development and validation of product specifications and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with designing, developing, executing, and evaluating fitness-for-use testing, product specifications, and process validation plans for various products and components.
  • Use CAD or CAE software to develop structural designs, model new designs, and produce detailed engineering drawings.
  • Verify designs through calculations and analytical techniques.
  • Understand manufacturing processes, particularly metal fabrication and assemblies, and apply DFM methodologies.
  • Fulfill customer requirements considering design rules and applicable interface points.
  • Define test requirements and interpret test results to validate designs.
  • Identify problems and root causes, and execute resolutions.
  • Understand and apply lean principles to manufacturing and business processes.
  • Execute engineering changes through established processes and documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent education required.
  • 0-2 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills in computer simulation, cost estimation, design optimization, and engineering analysis.
  • Experience with CAD and CAE software.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing industry standards and vocational standards.
  • Experience with problem-solving techniques and statistical data analysis.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with quality assurance processes and reliability analysis.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and layouts.
  • Solid PC skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
