About the position

The Process Engineer will work as part of a team on major capital Oil & Gas and Energy projects, focusing on process design and engineering solutions. The role involves developing heat and material balances, process flow diagrams, and piping and instrumentation diagrams, while also conducting process studies and calculations. The engineer will collaborate with high-value engineering centers and contribute to both greenfield and brownfield projects in various sectors including Hydrogen, LNG, and Specialty Chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team of process engineers on major capital Oil & Gas / Energy projects.
• Develop heat and material balances using process simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS.
• Create process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
• Generate fluid hydraulic calculations for line sizing and formulate process data for in-line instruments and loads for rotating equipment.
• Conduct typical process engineering calculations such as hydraulics, relief valves, design pressures and temperatures, and vessel sizing.
• Coordinate with cross-office teams and high-value engineering centers.
• Lead or conduct process studies and generate design basis documents, utility load lists, and equipment lists.

Requirements

• Experience with process simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS.
• Proficiency in developing PFDs and P&IDs.
• Experience generating fluid hydraulic calculations for line sizing.
• Knowledge of equipment sizing and process data formulation for rotating equipment.
• Experience in greenfield and brownfield FEED or EPC projects.
• Exposure to sectors such as Hydrogen, LNG, Ammonia, Olefins, Refining, Specialty Chemicals, CCUS, and Biofuels.
• Field experience is preferred.
• EIT certification is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with cross-office coordination on engineering projects.
• Familiarity with process design simulations and leading process studies.
