The Process / Chemical Engineer will be responsible for process systems, process-mechanical, Bulk Gas delivery and VHP/Gas/Chemical, Industrial Waste lift, collection and treatment, and UPW (make-up, primary, and polish loop) systems for multiple ongoing projects through all phases including programming, schematic, design development, constructions documents, construction administration and project close-out. As a Project Manager for engineering-prime projects, the role includes client interface, generating and tracking project delivery schedules, developing and allocating fees for engineering work, and tracking budgets throughout design. The engineer will facilitate the design of engineering plans from preliminary through construction phases, perform analysis and design of industrial buildings/projects, and engage in technical writing for engineering studies, Basis of Design documents, and narratives for a non-technical audience to facilitate decision-making. Additionally, the engineer will review and produce plans and specifications for compliance with industry codes, standards, and guidelines, and communicate and coordinate with clients, multi-discipline teams, contractors, and governmental agency personnel. Domestic and international travel may be required, along with other duties as assigned.

  • Engage in technical writing for engineering studies and Basis of Design documents.
  • Review and produce plans and specifications for compliance with industry codes, standards, and guidelines.
  • Communicate and coordinate with clients, multi-discipline teams, contractors, and governmental agency personnel.
  • Travel domestically and internationally as required.

Requirements

  • BS in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • 5-10 years of experience with process, waste, and ultrapure water (UPW) systems in the semiconductor, petrochemical, or bio/pharmaceutical industries.
  • Experience as the primary engineering interface with multiple clients as a project manager or engineering lead.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the U.S. or the ability to gain licensure within 1 year of start date.
  • Familiar with AutoCAD, Revit, NavisWorks, pipe stress software, Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interface.
