About the position

The position involves developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods while collaborating with various teams to ensure efficient production processes. The successful candidate will utilize their engineering knowledge to support production requirements and enhance product quality through statistical methods and quality tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods.
• Coordinate with production team leaders, supervisors, and Plant Superintendent to support requirements and priority customer orders.
• Collaborate with production and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
• Collaborate with vendors to determine product specifications and quality standards.
• Interact with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
• Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
• Utilize quality tools (e.g., continuous improvement, corrective actions, Six Sigma) to improve the overall product.
• Assist with the design layout of equipment and workforce for maximum efficiency.

Requirements

• 4 year degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial/Operations Management, or other general engineering/industrial degree with technical problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with quality tools such as Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, statistical process control, etc.
• Experience working in an industrial setting.
