About the position

The Process Engineer at Tiffany & Co. is responsible for enhancing manufacturing efficiencies through the application of engineering principles and Lean methodologies. This role involves collaborating with manufacturing and engineering teams to optimize processes, improve facility layouts, and implement cost-reduction strategies while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. The position requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement efficiencies within the manufacturing process.
  • Conduct time and motion studies to analyze labor, productivity, and equipment usage.
  • Develop and maintain work measurement standards for various operational job functions.
  • Recommend workflow, equipment, and facility layout changes based on analysis.
  • Utilize Lean manufacturing principles to improve processes and reduce waste.
  • Define and analyze product costing processes to identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Manage small to medium projects related to Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Facilitate project team meetings and present relevant analysis and materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field with 4+ years of related experience.
  • Previous experience in Time Study or Work Measurement Standards development.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, research, and related skills.
  • Solid project and time management skills.
  • Experience with good documentation practices and cGMP standards.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and manage priorities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of jewelry manufacturing techniques and precious metallurgy.
  • Working knowledge of JD Edwards System or other enterprise systems.
  • CAD knowledge (AutoCAD, Rhino, Solidworks, etc.).
