About the position

The position involves performing engineering assignments focused on process improvements and projects aimed at achieving production, safety, and environmental goals. The role requires analyzing processes, determining solutions, and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and safety within the manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Support continuous improvement and troubleshooting efforts to implement engineering changes for efficiency gains.
• Enhance safety, health, and environmental goals by improving equipment and work environments.
• Prepare for and participate in process hazard analysis (PHA/HAZOP) initiatives and implement recommendations.
• Maintain ownership of Safety Critical documentation such as P&IDs and equipment files for compliance and regulatory purposes.
• Develop, design, and implement process-related engineering improvement projects through data collection and analysis.
• Track project costs, timelines, and performance against goals and objectives.
• Support troubleshooting efforts around process, quality, and safety to resolve plant issues.
• Manage the MOC process for changes made onsite using OneMOC tool and Velocity software.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of safety and plant functions.
• Skilled in developing and managing process improvement projects, with knowledge of the DMAIC process.
• Knowledge of project management to set goals and meet deadlines.
• Ability to utilize process safety documentation such as P&IDs, HAZOPs, and Process Flow Diagrams.
