About the position

The Process Engineer at Dental Crafters Network is essential for enhancing operational efficiency and supporting production processes. This role focuses on continuous improvement initiatives while managing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with ISO standards, and optimizing manufacturing workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and troubleshoot production software and hardware.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and lead engineering change processes.
  • Optimize production workflows and reorganize cell layouts.
  • Support the company's ISO compliance program.
  • Apply process engineering principles in new product development.
  • Lead development, testing, and improvement of manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for smooth integration of new processes and technologies.
  • Support ISO 13485 program through document management and employee training.
  • Diagnose and resolve software-related challenges impacting production.
  • Utilize advanced CAD/CAM tools for design and troubleshooting needs.
  • Improve production workflows using 3D printing technologies.
  • Complete and document preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and initiate corrective actions.
  • Troubleshoot product problems involving designs, materials, or processes.
  • Investigate operational problems and implement improvements.
  • Apply continuous improvement methods like lean manufacturing.
  • Provide technical expertise related to manufacturing.
  • Determine root causes of failures and recommend design changes.
  • Prepare reports summarizing manufacturing performance trends.
  • Design layout of equipment or workspaces for efficiency.
  • Supervise technicians and other engineering staff.

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering or 2-5 years of experience in process or manufacturing engineering.
  • Hands-on experience in professional or academic settings.
  • Experience with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) Software and Quick Response Manufacturing (QRM) methodologies preferred.
  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in fast-paced environments.
  • Quality-focused mindset with attention to detail.
