About The Position

The Principal Process / Mechanical Engineer will provide technical direction and leadership to engineering teams, overseeing the planning, design, and construction phases of engineering projects. This role requires extensive experience in mechanical systems and equipment design, as well as a strong understanding of relevant codes and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 15 years' experience in design, estimating, specification preparation, and construction document preparation (nuclear preferred)
• Working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local codes and standards applicable to mechanical engineering design
• Professional Engineer License preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction to assigned engineers
• Conduct construction document reviews as required
• Plan, organize, and coordinate process/mechanical engineering and multi-disciplined team/design projects
• Engage in the planning, design, and construction phases of engineering projects including project startup
• Prepare and review calculations and specifications relating to P&ID development
• Demonstrate design experience in mechanical systems and equipment design
• Generate and review the accuracy of design/evaluation calculations and specifications
• Familiarity with computer-aided drafting applications is required
