About the position

Ahlstrom Filtration LLC is seeking a dedicated Process Engineer to join our team in Taylorville, IL. The primary responsibility of this role is to collect, analyze, and monitor data on various processes to ensure a continuous reduction in product and process variability. The Process Engineer will play a crucial role in monitoring and reporting on process and machine trials, ensuring that all modifications and changes are accurately tracked and documented. This position requires collaboration with other departments to provide supporting information that aids in resolving both internal and customer-related issues. In addition to these responsibilities, the Process Engineer will lead initiatives aimed at identifying excess waste within the manufacturing process. This includes managing cost reduction activities and leading savings initiatives that support our continuous improvement program. The role also involves participating in the selection, purchase, and installation of new equipment, ensuring that all processes align with the company's operational goals and standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving, facilitating the use of various problem-solving techniques and tools to drive efficiency and effectiveness in our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and monitor data on processes to ensure continuous reduction in product and process variability.
  • Monitor and report on process and machine trials.
  • Track process changes and modifications to drawings.
  • Provide supporting information to other departments for resolution of internal and customer issues.
  • Lead issues and participate on problem-solving teams, facilitating the use of problem-solving techniques and tools.
  • Identify excess waste in the manufacturing process and manage related cost reduction activities.
  • Lead savings initiatives and support the continuous improvement program.
  • Participate in selection, purchase, and installation of equipment for the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in process engineering or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean.
