About the position

AHF Products is seeking a Process Engineer to join our Lancaster Floor Plant team in Lancaster, PA. This role is pivotal in providing technical services that enhance our production processes and systems. The Process Engineer will engage in process improvement initiatives, daily operational support, cost reduction strategies, and project management. This position is integral to our Lean and continuous improvement efforts, ensuring that we maintain our commitment to quality and efficiency in our manufacturing processes. In this role, the Process Engineer will proactively offer engineering and technical assistance to the operations team, focusing on production processes, materials, training, and equipment. The engineer will lead new product development initiatives in collaboration with Sales, Product Management, and R&D, ensuring that our product offerings remain innovative and competitive. Additionally, the Process Engineer will spearhead projects aimed at driving cost and yield improvements, optimizing material usage, and resolving issues that affect line performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting process issues, consulting with production and maintenance personnel, analyzing data, and recommending corrective actions. This includes executing capital projects while ensuring that cost, schedule, and performance goals are met or exceeded. The Process Engineer will also play a key role in educating operations personnel on technical issues and process changes, coordinating training and startup activities for new equipment and processes. This position is a day shift role, located at our Lancaster facility.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering and technical assistance to operations regarding production processes and systems.
  • Drive new product development and implementation in coordination with Sales, Product Management, and R&D.
  • Lead projects to drive cost and yield improvements and optimize material usage.
  • Identify and resolve common and special cause issues impacting line performance.
  • Troubleshoot process issues and facilitate corrective actions, consulting with production and maintenance personnel.
  • Execute capital projects, ensuring cost, schedule, and performance goals are met or exceeded.
  • Educate operations personnel on technical issues and process changes.
  • Coordinate training and startup activities for new equipment and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a similar field.
  • 1-3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong change management skills and experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to pass a background check, employment verification, and drug screening.
  • Positive and verifiable work history.
  • Adherence to safety guidelines and use of applicable safety equipment.
